Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) And PAYDQ Team Up To Provide Customers With Free Internet Payment Options

PayDQ , an electronic bill presentment and payment service provider with headquarters in Council Bluffs, Iowa announces that LP&L’s free Internet bill payment service went live on October 15.

LP&L’s new free Internet Bill Payment Service at www.lpandl.com has already proven to be a very popular addition to LP&L’s customer payment options. LP&L customers already have the lowest electricity costs among electricity providers in Lubbock in addition to this new free service. More than one hundred customers used it the first day it was available. Customers like it because they can pay immediately or schedule their payments when it is convenient for them and they know that their payments will be processed on time.

LP&L likes it because it reduces calls to their customer call center, reduces manual payment processing, and they know that their customers' private information is secure because PayDQ is certified as compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Lubbock Power & Light, a municipally owned entity of the City of Lubbock is separately governed by an Electric Utility Board appointed by the Lubbock City Council. LP&L has approximately two hundred employees working toward generating and distributing electrical service for the citizens of Lubbock, Texas. LP&L distributes over 95,000 monthly utility statements for electric, water, sewer, solid waste and storm water services. LP&L has provided the lowest cost and most reliable electricity in Lubbock for more than 90 years.
